Luke Bryan is crossing the country with Jason Aldean on his My Kinda Party tour, but the Georgia native already has his mind on a tour with his own name on the marquee next year.

"We're already throwing around set ideas and checking prices on these little knick-knacks and toys to have fun with," Luke notes (quote via Pa. radio station WIOV).

The singer, whose current hit, "Drunk on You," is this week's top-selling country tune, has earned plenty of experience on the road, opening for Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts in the past. But he hopes to give them a bit of healthy competition next year.

"That makes everybody plan more to try to create the best tour," he explains. "That makes country put better tours out overall throughout the whole year."

Still, there are plenty of tricks Luke learned as an opening act that he'll include in his own show. "It's a tall order when you start trying to reinvent the wheel on some of that stuff," he acknowledges. "You just have try to come up with some new, fresh ideas and just try to put what you feel like is the best show out there."

Luke has plenty of practice taking over a stage. He previously headlined the CMT on Tour: Luke Bryan Tailgates & Tanlines last year and his own Farm Tour, as well as his annual Spring Break show in Florida, which he has hosted four years in a row.

The singer-songwriter, who just celebrated his first platinum-selling album with Tailgates & Tanlines, believes he has already found his recipe for success.

"The main thing is stay true to who you are," Luke tells The Boot. "When it happens unnaturally and when it's forced, it gets a little weird. You just make sure you love it and that it's the music that you want to be represented by. The rest is out of your hands."

Luke's trek with Jason runs through October. See a complete list of dates here.
