Luke Bryan Earns Standing Ovation With ‘Roller Coaster’ 2014 CMA Awards Performance [WATCH]

Luke Bryan has been known to shake his hips now and then, but tonight (Nov. 5) at the 2014 CMA Awards, he dialed things down a notch with an appropriately low-key performance of the mid-tempo track 'Roller Coaster.'

Bryan joked on the red carpet pre-show that it would be nearly impossible to work some dancing into this performance, and sure enough, he stood mostly still while he sang. But he still put in a great deal of effort, working hard to hit the high notes of the earnest vocal ballad. The performance earned him a standing ovation from his peers and fans.

'Roller Coaster' was the fifth smash hit from Bryan's 'Crash My Party' album. The singer is nominated for three awards tonight: Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
