In addition to hosting duties, Luke Bryan opened the 2016 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 3) by performing his latest single, "Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day."

After briefly bantering with co-host Dierks Bentley -- who played up his fears of hosting for the first time -- Bryan ran onstage with his guitar and started immediately into the song. The camera occasionally cut back to Bentley backstage, who was singing along.

Mid-song, it appeared that Bentley would be joining his co-host for the remainder of the song; in fact, Bryan paused to invite Bentley on stage with him. However, when the cameras cut backstage, it was Blake Shelton who grabbed the microphone and ran out to join a laughing Bryan for the rest of the song.

"Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day" is off Kill the Lights, Bryan's fifth studio album. The song is a checklist of all the things you might expect a good country boy like Bryan -- who grew up on a peanut farm in Leesburg, Ga. -- to celebrate. "Huntin', fishin' and lovin' every day / That's the prayer that a country boy prays / Thank God He made me this way," Bryan sings in the chorus.

Kill the Lights is available on iTunes and Amazon.
