Willie Nelson and LukasWillie Nelson often performs live with his youngest sons Lukas (pictured left) and Micah, and now the Nelson trio reportedly have plans to enter the studio with producer T-Bone Burnett to record some of their family collaborations.

"I've got some songs, and my dad's got some songs, and my brother sings really good harmonies and plays a multitude of instruments," Lukas tells the Athens Banner-Herald.

The busy young singer also has plans to form a second-generation supergroup, in the tradition of the Highwaymen, with Waylon Jennings' son Shooter, along with working on a debut from his own band, Promise of the Real.

"It's gonna happen," Lukas says of collaborating with his old friend. "We just have to set it up. We all have schedules, and Shooter just had a baby. I live in L.A. and I still haven't seen him since I've been out here, and I've been here two years! It's just been crazy. I've been running around focusing on getting my band together, but it will happen."

Promise of the Real is reportedly in negotiations for a major record label deal and is hoping to put out an album in the next year.
