Lucy Scholl is releasing her debut EP, and she's letting readers of The Boot hear it first via this exclusive stream.

While this marks her first full release, the 20-year-old Texas native is no stranger to the music business. In 2012, the National Arthritis Foundation used her very first song, 'Walk With Me,' in a campaign for its charity walks in Dallas, and the singer-songwriter has also opened for Tyler Ward, the Nashville Tribute Band, Due West and more.

Scholl shuttled back and forth from her home in Dallas to Nashville to work with producer Brandon Metcalf on her EP, which draws on the pop country sensibilities of Taylor Swift, as well as other influences like Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride.

"I am so proud of this record," Scholl states. "I am proud of the person I became throughout the writing and recording process. It was such a learning process and time of growth for me. I am honored to have worked with so many amazing people along the way."

She adds, "I wanted to write a record that was specific to me, but relatable to everyone and I love what became of that goal. I am so excited to be releasing it for everyone to enjoy and I'm so grateful that this is just the beginning of my journey. You haven't seen the last of me!"

'Lucy Scholl' is set for release on Tuesday (July 22). The debut single from the project, 'Feel Alright,' is currently available at iTunes. For more information about Lucy Scholl, visit her official website.
