Lucas Hoge has a brand-new lyric video for his song "Boom Boom," and The Boot's readers get to see it first.

In the "Boom Boom" clip, Hoge drives around with a brunette woman (whose face is never shown), stopping for an impromptu glass of wine and romancing her sweetly. In the first verse, he sings, "Let's roll the windows down / You and I / I'll play your favorite song / We'll drive until we fly / Gonna make it feel just like / The Fourth of July / Oh, girl, you know / My heart explodes / From the colors in your eyes."

“Everyone is always trying to find new ways to say, ‘I love you,’ and this song does that,” Hoge says of the upbeat, earnest and classic summer song in a press release. “It’s really cool and has such a good vibe to it.”

During the chorus of "Boom Boom," Hoge admits, "I was a dead man walking / My heart was barely beating / Girl, you walked in / And I started feeling / Boom boom / The rhythm in my chest / You, you took away my breath / Baby, just say yes / If I make your heart go boom boom."

"Boom Boom" is slated for release to radio on Monday (July 11).

"STOKED to hit 7/11 with BOOM BOOM release date!" Hoge, a Nebraska native, writes on Facebook. "Please request it at your local radio station starting 7/11!"

The single is available now on iTunes, and more information about Hoge can be found on his official website.
