With 2012 marking their 20th anniversary, the recently reunited country supergroup Lonestar has announced they will release a new single, "The Countdown," on July 17. A full-length album is set to follow in October, and is being released on the quartet's own label, 4 Star Records.

The group, featuring returning lead singer Richie McDonald, along with Michael Britt, Keech Rainwater and Dean Sams, started the year off with a European tour that also featured Reba McEntire and Ricky Skaggs. Earlier this month, they performed outdoors at the CMA Music Fest's Riverfront stage, and also played a sold-out invitation-only show for their fan club members at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The group debuted "The Countdown" and another new tune, "Pretty Good Day" during their show.

"It was a blast," says Dean Sams. "Fans were singing along to the new single by the second verse." "What a way to start the summer," adds Richie. "In the heat, outside, with thousands of fans singing along. Back on the bus!"

Back on the bus is exactly where the group headed after those shows, and they have concerts currently scheduled through October, with stops in Westbury, N.Y. (July 13), Los Angeles (July 27) and Lancaster, Pa. (Sept. 20). Keep track of their tour schedule here and visit the group's official website for more information -- and a clock counting down to the official release of "The Countdown."

To date, Lonestar has sold in excess of 10 million albums. Their hits include "No News," "I'm Already There" and "Amazed," which logged eight weeks at No. 1 on the country chart and also reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100.
