In late December of 2017, LoCash debuted a brand-new song, "Don't Get Better Than That," on Today. Readers can press play above to listen to the single -- an uplifting, celebratory anthem that fits right in with the duo's earlier hits such as "I Love This Life" and "Here Comes Summer."

Preston Brust and Chris Lucas of LoCash have a lot to celebrate these days: The group received its first-ever CMA nomination in 2017, as well as nominations in the ACM Awards' New Vocal Group of the Year category and the CMT Music Awards' Duo Video of the Year category for their single "I Know Somebody." Even in the midst of all that glitz and glam, "Don't Get Better Than That" -- which was co-written by Brust and Lucas alongside Phil Barton and Lindsay Rimes -- focuses on life's little pleasures.

"Ever caught a buzz floating down a river? / Ever looked in her eyes and seen forever? / Ever smell the air right after the rain?" LoCash sing. Each verse adds to this musical list of little moments that make life so great. What is perhaps the point of the song comes up in the chorus: "Knowing where you've been, loving where you're at / Yeah, it don't get better than that."

The duo has been steadily active since 2004, but it took a while for them to see the recognition they enjoy today. As recently as 2017, LoCash described themselves to ABC News as "underdogs" going into the CMAs, where they'd been nominated for the Vocal Duo of the Year category along with Florida Georgia Line, Dan + Shay, Brothers Osborne and others. (The award ultimately went to Brothers Osborne.)

However, LoCash seem to have found their niche with feel-good, catchy party tracks like "Don't Get Better Than That." The single comes as the first taste of LoCash's upcoming album, which is currently in production and slated for release later in the year.
