Linsday Ell has released a new single, "Waiting on You," from her recently released Worth the Wait EP. A self-proclaimed guitar nerd, Ell delivers a song that's full of the instrument, naturally, and has a catchy, Sheryl Crow-esque pop-country beat.

Readers can press play above to listen to "Waiting on You." Ell says that the song perfectly captures her as an artist: "If I was given three minutes for somebody who's never heard my name before to hear what's going on in my heart and hear what I sound like, "Waiting on You" would be it," she explains.

"Waiting on You" was co-written by Adam Hambrick and Andrew DeRoberts. The song gives Ell the chance to showcase her undeniable skills as a guitar player and as a singer -- a plan that Ell's producer, Kristian Bush, tells Taste of Country the singer fully embraced during the creation of her Worth the Wait EP.

“I think he’s brilliant,” Ell gushes of Bush. “Just watching how he put together Sugarland, and he’s from the Atlanta music scene. My guitar brain [was] just so excited to pop into that tracking room and see what [we could] drum up.”

"Waiting on You" will hit country radio on May 30. Ell is getting ready to head out on the road with Brad Paisley, on the North American leg of his 2017 Weekend Warrior World Tour.
