Lee Brice Tour Dates With Miranda, Dierks Were ‘Happy’ Learning Experience
Lee Brice loves being on the concert trail, so the time spent with Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley on the Locked and Reloaded tour was perfect for him. One of the highlights for the singer was joining the two superstars to sing “Bad Angel,” the tune they originally performed with Jamey Johnson.
“I respect them so much as people and artists and entertainers,” Lee tells The Boot. “They are two of my favorites. Dierks is so easygoing, such a fun guy and so humble. Miranda kicks so much ass. They’re just real people and I was happy to be part of that tour. We had such a good time.”
As with any entertainer, Lee is always learning from his tourmates, and being on the Locked and Reloaded tour was no exception, as it gave him the opportunity to watch how they entertain the fans, even in the largest of venues.
“Playing in an arena is very different from being in a small venue like a club,” he acknowledges. “I have played before big crowds but it never hurts to see how someone else handles it and learn from them.”
For his part, Dierks says he was excited to have Lee on the tour. “I’ve been touring for a while now, but it is always great when you can have a cool tour like this one for your fans,” says the superstar. “It’s always nice when you have a group on the tour, like Lee and Randy Houser and Thomas Rhett, that makes it fun and exciting for everyone.”
Lee is doing a few select dates between now and what will be his biggest date of the year, his April wedding to girlfriend Sarah Reeveley. On April 13, he’s performing at the Country Thunder USA festival at Canyon Moon Ranch in Florence, Ariz. Then he’s off through the end of the month before heading out on another major tour.
“I’m gonna continue to keep rocking through the year,” Lee explains. “I’ve got Brad Paisley all year beginning in May and going through October. Chris Young is on that tour too. Being out with Brad is gonna be an experience that I’ll have with me all the rest of my life. I’m really excited about that.”
Lee will be in Norfolk, Neb., on Saturday, March 23. March 28 finds him in Rootstown, Ohio, followed by a stop in Renfro Valley, Ky., the next night. He joins Brad’s tour on May 9 in Maryland Heights, Mo.
