Lee Brice performed a stripped-down version of the Song of the Year-nominated 'I Drive Your Truck'  Sunday night (April 6) at the 2014 ACM Awards.

The emotional tune about remembering a brother killed in combat was all over radio and the country music charts during the past year. Perhaps for that reason, Brice chose to change up the arrangement, performing alone in a chair with an acoustic guitar and no backing band.

Brice's performance was kind of a tease, since he only sang the first verse and chorus. But that was enough to earn a loud ovation from the crowd, who took advantage of the opportunity to thank Brice for recording one of 2013's most powerful songs.

'I Drive Your Truck' is up for Single Record of the Year, Video of the Year, and Song of the Year, an honor that would be shared with songwriters Jessi Alexander, Connie Harrington, and Jimmy Yeary.
