Lee Brice is still taking in his 2015 ACM Awards nomination for Single Record of the Year. The singer-songwriter is nominated for his touching tune, 'I Don't Dance,'  the title track of his No. 1 album, which was released last year.

"'I Don't Dance' is a special song -- I wrote it for [my wife] Sara, so this nomination means a lot," he says. "I'm also humbled to join the incredible lineup in the category, and it's really cool to be recognized as a producer because it's such a big part of my creative process."

While Brice is thrilled with the success of the song, which was the fastest-certified platinum country single of 2014, he originally didn't plan on even recording the tune.

“It was a gift to my wife for our first dance, and it said, ‘Man, I didn’t know that I was ever going to really get here in my life,’ but she brought me here,” he explains. “She got me there in the way that I never imagined I could be this happy of a person and happy of a man, so I’ve got a great life right now, and it’s all because of her.”

The award for Single Record of the Year goes to artist and producer, making it Brice's first nomination as a producer; he co-produced his entire 'I Don't Dance' record. Brice won an ACM Award last year, for Song of the Year, for 'I Drive Your Truck.'
