Lee Ann Womack and husband Frank LiddellThe first person Lee Ann Womack calls when she receives an award nomination is her husband, producer Frank Liddell. But these days, the Texas-born songbird is a little ticked off because she's starting to get overshadowed in the nominations department.

"I'm starting to get irritated, because he gets more nominations than me now," jokes Lee Ann. "He's a producer and a publisher, so he has some songs that are nominated. He works with Miranda Lambert, so he wins more awards than I do now."

Frank has also been at the helm of projects by the Eli Young Band, David Nail, Jack Ingram, and his talented wife. That being said, the 2001 CMA Female Vocalist of the Year is obviously very excited for her husband. "All kidding aside, it really is fun to celebrate together."

Lee Ann hasn't totally been left out in the cold at the upcoming CMA Awards. She's up for Musical Event of the Year with George Strait for 'Everything But Quits.' The two won the category in 2005 for their duet, 'Good News Bad News.'

The 43rd annual CMA Awards, hosted once again by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will be broadcast live from Nashville on Nov. 11 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
