LeAnn Rimes performed an emotional tribute to Patsy Cline, who passed away 50 years ago, during the American Country Awards on Tuesday night (Dec. 10).

Rimes was introduced by Luke Bryan, who honored Cline's mark in music. "The legendary Patsy Cline was only 30 years old, and still at the height of her career when she died tragically. But the songs that Patsy sang have never left our airwaves or our hearts," he said. "Tonight, we wanted to remember Patsy with the help of a beautiful woman, who began her remarkable career being called 'the next Patsy Cline.'"

Decked out in a long flowing gown, Rimes took the stage, performing for TV viewers in retro black and white. As pictures of Cline flashed behind her, Rimes flawlessly some of the songstress' biggest hits, including 'Leavin' on Your Mind,' Walkin' After Midnight,' 'Crazy,' and 'Sweet Dreams,' which she sang a capella, receiving a well-deserved standing ovation as the song ended.
