LeAnn Rimes and 'American Idol' runner-up Crystal Bowersox (Season 9) are coming together for a good cause on August 15. The songstresses will perform at the first-ever 'Lifting Lives at Joe's Bar' benefit concert in Chicago.

"The artistic expression of being able to do what I do, and being blessed with the gift I have and the opportunity to entertain people ... it is a blessing to be able to bring joy to people's lives," LeAnn tells Sirius XM.

The philanthropic branch of the Academy of Country Music, Lifting Lives is dedicated to improving the world through music. The organization funds music therapy and music education programs across the country. Joe's Bar is hosting the event for the first time and underwriting the costs in order for every dollar spent on tickets to go directly to the cause.

The ladies aren't the only ones working towards the ACM's charitable efforts. Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Wynonna, Gary Allan and Little Big Town recently participated in the annual ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp in Nashville. Campers, who are patients with Williams Syndrome and other developmental disabilities, participated in a songwriting workshop with Gary, before recording the fruits of their labor with Carrie, and performing it live at the Grand Ole Opry with Darius July 1.

Tickets are on sale now. General admission, which includes light appetizers and open bar, is $25, while $95 VIP tickets include a premiere viewing area for the show and meet-and-greets with each artist.
