Arlene Richie,

Laura Bell Bundy has been cast as an aspiring country singer in the pilot episode of ‘Hound Dogs,’ a new series for the TBS network. According to Variety, the ‘Giddy on Up’ singer’s character in the proposed series is dating the rookie pitcher (played by Rob Mayes) of a fictitious Nashville baseball team whose players and general manager are dealing with a whole lot of personal issues off the field.

“I’m going to sleep WAY early for me. My call time for tomorrow is 5:30am! Yay! 1st day of shooting ‘Hound Dogs’ pilot. Bow wow wow!” Laura tweeted Wednesday night.
