Kacey Musgraves didn't have much time to celebrate after winning her two Grammys last week (for Best Country Song and Best Country Album). The singer had to get right back to work, serving as the opening act for Lady Antebellum on their Take Me Downtown Tour.

Instead, Lady A, who have already won seven Grammy awards, brought the celebration to Musgraves. The trio presented the singer with a cake backstage last week to help her celebrate her big win.

The 25-year-old took home the Grammy gold for her debut album, 'Same Trailer Different Park,' as well as the record's debut single, 'Merry Go 'Round,' which she co-wrote with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. But the real credit for the tune, Musgraves says, belongs to McAnally's mother.

“It started with Shane’s mom talking about her neighbor,” she recalls to The Boot. “She said something like, ‘Well, I think she’s either selling Mary Kay or mary jane or something down the street.” And we were like, ‘There’s definitely a song there.’ So we started talking a little bit about small towns and how appearances tend to be everything, especially in a really conservative environment; people worry about what other people think."

She adds, "I feel like -- especially in small towns but it happens everywhere -- when you’re scared to leave what you know or are comfortable with, people tend to settle and stay in their comfort zone. Later, that leads to resentment and just regret. It’s just something that happens in life no matter where you are.”

Musgraves will continue her run with Lady A, along with fellow opening act Kip Moore, with shows this week in Minnesota and Michigan, See all of their upcoming concerts here.
