Krystal Keith may be one of the biggest up-and-coming artists in country music, but the singer says that it's the people working behind the scenes that deserve recognition.

Keith worked with dad Toby Keith on her first album, but she's been cutting new music with producer Nathan Chapman recently.

"I am insanely blessed to get to work with Nathan. He is an incredible talent, and I really wish that country fans got to know the people behind the scenes so much more than they do," the songstress told The Boot during 2014 CMA Awards week. "Like, I'm the artist, and I sing the music, and I put it out there, but the producers we get to work with and the musicians we get to work with and the songwriters, it's phenomenal to have that opportunity."

Chapman is known for working with artists like Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift, and Keith's style is more raw musically than his past work. Their collaboration has been surprising to some, but Keith says that working together came naturally.

"I think that Nathan enjoys a change, and I think he enjoys kind of pushing the envelope of what he's used to doing," she says. "He's so brilliant, regardless, that the music we just cut, I'm jumping up and down for it. It's kind of different for both of us, it's something different than I've done before, and it's something different than he's done."

Keith's first full-length album, 'Whiskey & Lace,' came out last December. She spent Summer 2014 opening for her dad on his Shut Up and Hold On Tour; Keith also made her Grand Ole Opry debut in July. There is no word yet on a release date for her sophomore disc.
