Michael Sacha, Kid Rock's personal assistant, was killed in an ATV accident on the singer's Nashville-area property on Monday (April 25).

According to the Tennessean, around midnight on Sunday (April 24) leading into Monday, Sacha had transported guests from a cookout at Rock's estate on Knight Drive in Whites Creek, northwest of Nashville, to an Uber waiting for them in the driveway of the property. A Tennessean story from April of 2015 indicates that Rock's property totals 102 acres and is "near" another 68-acre parcel of land on which Rock had built a house. Nashville police say that, on his way back, Sacha lost control of the ATV and crashed.

Police report that Rock and a friend found Sacha, who was 30, on an embankment late on Monday morning. Brian Haas, the Nashville Fire Department's public information officer, tells the Tennessean that the fire department responded to their emergency call and found a man, already deceased, lying face down on the side of the driveway. According to a tweet from the Metro Nashville Police Department, Sacha's death has been classified as accidental.

In a statement on his website, Rock writes that he is "beyond devastated" by Sacha's death, calling the man "a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with."

"I know I speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family. I can not imagine how they must feel. Myself, the band, our family, friends and co-workers are devastated over this loss," the artist continues. "We were supposed to be back in Michigan today, but I am going to stay here with Mike until I can bring him home to his family ... RIP Mike. We will never forget you, my friend."

Rock is scheduled to perform at a handful of festivals this summer, including the Taste of Country Music Festival, WE Fest and Country on the River. He will also be playing Fenway Park with Jason Aldean.
