Kid Rock is one person who does not think imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, at least not when those who dress to look like him get into free shows, fondle women, mistreat fans and otherwise create havoc.

That's just what has been happening this past year as Kid Rock impostors have appeared throughout the country fooling other celebrities, fans and industry executives. The issue hit a boiling point just recently when a photo that looked like Kid Rock fondling reality star Tila Tequila was published by Rolling Stone magazine and a few other news organizations. The photo was actually Craig Kory, a professional Kid Rock impersonator, reports Rolling Stone in its October 28 edition.

"I wouldn't be caught dead with Tila Tequila holding her f------ boobs and taking a f------ picture," Kid Rock tells the mag. "I feel like I've gotten all the drama and bulls--- and baggage out of my life, and then this s--- comes up. I'm also trying to avoid lawsuits, and one of these people could get me in trouble."

If you think that concern is far fetched, remember that in 2008, Poison's Rikki Rockett was arrested for the rape of a Mississippi woman after her attacker identified himself as the drummer, reminds Rolling Stone.

Word to the wise: If you see a skinny guy wearing aviator glasses, a hat, necklace and apparel from Kid Rock's Made in Detroit clothing line, don't just assume he's the real deal.
