Kid Rock to Host CMT Awards
"The rumors are true," Kid Rock writes on his Facebook page today (April 29). "I'm hosting the CMT Awards live from Nashville on June 9th ... All I can promise is I will be awesome."
Kid Rock will indeed take hosting honors at the fan-voted awards ceremony, which kicks off Nashville's annual CMA Music Fest. CMT has also announced performances on the live broadcast by Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, who are all nominated for multiple CMT Awards.
Fans have until May 3 to complete the first round of voting. On May 11, CMT will announce the final four nominees in each category, allowing fans to then participate in the second round of voting through June 8, to determine the winner in each category. Click here to vote for your favorite videos.
The CMT Awards air live on June 9 at 8:00 PM ET.
