If you're looking for a country artist who loves Christmas music, look no further than Kenny Rogers; it just doesn't feel like the holidays without his annual Christmas & Hits Tour. In this video, debuting exclusively on The Boot, the country icon shares one of his favorite parts of his yearly concerts -- and it's sure to put even the biggest Scrooge in a cheery mood.

Rogers has been embarking on his yearly Christmas tour for more than 30 years now, and "Winter Wonderland is always in his setlist "because I think it sets the mood," the singer explains. Not only does it have those quintessential Christmas lyrics -- "Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? / In the lane snow is glistening / A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight / Walking in a winter wonderland" -- Rogers' performance also has the perfect prop.

"We have fake snow that comes down and little kids on the stage who forget their music because they're looking at the fake snow," he shares. "We do that in the South ... We were in Florida, we dropped fake snow -- they had no idea what we were doing."

Rogers adds that "Winter Wonderland" "really will put you in the Christmas spirit;" in fact, he calls it "one of the great songs of all time about Christmas."

Rogers released Once Again, It's Christmas, his first new Christmas album in 17 years, this past fall; it followed up his 1998 offering, Christmas From the Heart. The new record features artists such as Alison Krauss and Jennifer Nettles.

The 77-year-old Rogers announced his impending retirement late this summer. His 2015 Christmas tour will wrap up on Dec. 23, and then he'll hit the road on a worldwide trek before saying goodbye to his touring days.
