Kenny Rogers will receive the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 CMA awards. The award will be celebrated with an all-star tribute from Rascal Flatts, Jennifer Nettles and Darius Rucker.

According to CMAWorld.com, the award was created last year to honor country artists who have “achieved both national and international prominence and stature through concert performances, humanitarian efforts, philanthropy, record sales, and public representation at the highest level.”

“Kenny Rogers is a living legend and country music trailblazer,” says Ed Hardy, President of the CMA Board of Directors. “He is more than deserving of this honor and what is sure to be a stellar tribute. He represents everything that this award was intended to recognize when we initiated it last year with Willie.”

Along with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Rogers was recently inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame by Garth Brooks.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood host the 47th Annual CMA Awards, which will air live from Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 8PM ET on ABC.
