Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton have received their third joint Granny nomination for 'You Can't Make Old Friends,' in the category of Best Country Duo/Group Performance. The announcement was made Friday, Dec. 6th.

"I was so excited and proud to hear that the Grammys have nominated Kenny and I for Best Country Duo/Group Performance on ‘You Can't Make Old Friends,’" Parton says in a press release. "I am also very proud to hear that ‘Jolene’ made the Grammy Hall of Fame. Thank you everyone!"

The duo has been nominated together twice before -- In 1984 for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for 'Islands in the Stream,' and two years later for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for 'Real Love.'

“I'm excited and very flattered about this opportunity, and am convinced I should work with Dolly more often if we're getting these kinds of results,” Rogers says.

The song is the title track off of Rogers' latest album, and is featured in 'Kenny & Dolly: An Intimate Conversation,'  which premiered on Great American Country on Monday, Dec. 9.
