Kenny Chesney’s Assistant Gets Special Shout-Out
She got her first awards-show 'thank you' from Kenny Chesney when he took home the CMA Entertainer of the Year trophy last night -- but who exactly is Kenny's assistant, Cheryl?
She's Cheryl Bevis, and in a 2002 Tennessean article called "Behind the Headshot," Kenny named Cheryl one of the five people/things he couldn't live without. (Interestingly, in this same article he cites the future former Mrs. Chesney, Renee Zellweger, under the category of his "Three Sexiest People." The couple would marry and split in 2005 ).
As to the more enduring relationship he's had with Cheryl, Kenny says, "She does everything for me, especially when I'm on the road, so I can think I have a life. Cheryl's always in a good mood, and she likes me when I'm in a bad mood."
Fans may remember Kenny's 40th birthday party this past March, when he received his "favorite birthday present ever," a leather-bound book filled with letters from friends such as NFL quarterback Peyton Manning and 'Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria-Parker. It was Cheryl who put the book together for Kenny.
Cheryl was also the one-time president of Aaron Tippin's fan club.
