Kenny Chesney Preps 2011 Tour With Zac Brown Band

It seems Kenny Chesney is ready to get back out on tour after a self-imposed year off. Kenny and the Zac Brown Band will co-headline nine stadium concerts together next year as part of his Goin' Coastal Tour, according to an announcement made Thursday (November 4) morning.

While Kenny didn't tour in 2010, except for a handful of dates, he did make a pair of movies, including the football documentary 'Boys of Fall,' and released a new album, 'Hemingway's Whiskey.'

Putting on a stadium show is no small feat, especially on the production side of things, but Kenny says that it's all worth it when he steps on stage. "It's a lot of work and it's a lot of fun," explains the four-time CMA Entertainer of the Year. "Those crew guys that set up those stadium shows, they are there on Monday getting ready for a Saturday show. And they work really hard. But it's really exciting for me and the band to walk up there and feel a football stadium's energy that wants to hear our music. It's great."

Billy Currington will perform at all nine shows, while Kenny's pal Uncle Kracker will open the shows, except for the August 27 show at Gillette Stadium near Boston.

The stadium tour kicks off March 19 in Tampa, Fla., and is scheduled to wrap August 27 in Foxboro, Mass. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale November 20. Additional arena and amphitheater shows will be announced at a later date, and word has it this will be Kenny's biggest tour since his 2006 Road and the Radio tour.

"We are excited to feel the passion and the energy that the fans give us again," Kenny tells USA Today. "There's a real sense of anticipation that our whole organization has about getting back on the road and playing some of our favorite stadiums and some new ones too, like Arrowhead and Lambeau Field where they haven't had a concert in over 20 years. We can't wait!"

Tickets will be available at Kenny's official website. Pre-sale tickets will be made available to his fan club members before the on-sale dates for the general public.
