Reese Witherspoon joined Kenny Chesney on stage in New Orleans for a rendition of Johnny Cash's hit song, 'Jackson.'

Chesney and Witherspoon, who won an Oscar in 2005 for her role as June Carter Cash in 'Walk the Line,' were at House of Blues to raise money for the Dream Foundation and the Just Keep Livin' Foundation, Drew Brees and Matthew McConaughey's charities.

Chesney brought the actress on stage for an acoustic version of the song. Witherspoon posted a photo of the performance on Instagram with the caption "Singing with Kenny C #NOLA #amazingnight #jkl."

The appearance was rare for Chesney, who announced last August that he wouldn't be touring in 2014. His only other scheduled appearance this year will be at George Strait‘s final concert in Dallas on June 7.
