Kenny Chesney, Eric Church and Luke Bryan Among 2015 Billboard Touring Awards Finalists

Kenny Chesney, Eric Church and Luke Bryan are among the finalists for the 2015 Billboard Touring Awards.

Billboard Touring Awards are given in recognition of artists that spend lots of time on the road, making fans happy and bring the concert-going experience to life.

“The tours, artists, venues, events, executives and companies represented as finalists for the Billboard Touring Awards are pushing the boundaries of creativity to make live events a bigger draw than ever,” Ray Waddell, Billboard’s executive director of content and programming for touring and live entertainment, explained ahead of last year's event. “In this era of fragmented digital consumption, live performance remains paramount in building and sustaining an artist’s career.”

Chesney is going head to head with One Direction and Taylor Swift in the Top Draw category, reserved for artists who draw large crowds for their shows and based off of total attendance. Church is nominated in the Breakthrough category, going up against 5 Seconds of Summer and Ed Sheeran. Bryan is nominated in the Top Package category, as is Chesney and Florida Georgia Line.

The 2015 Billboard Touring Awards are set to take place at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City on Nov. 19, following the Billboard Touring Conference.
