He's going to be receiving a major award at the 2014 American Country Countdown Awards, and now, Kenny Chesney is also set to perform at the ceremony.

The country hitmaker will perform his newest single, ''Til It's Gone,' joining a list of performers that includes Jason AldeanLuke BryanEric ChurchBrett EldredgeMiranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, along with Florida Georgia Line, who will also host the show.

"It’s very much a one-on-one piece of communicating," Chesney says of the tune. "It’s about hanging on to the one who matters to you; for me, it’s talking straight to those hardcore fans who've been there -- and saying, ‘No matter where or what, I’m in this as long as you hang on.'"

Chesney was previously announced as the recipient of the ACC Awards' inaugural Groundbreaker Award, honoring his "creative innovation, musical accomplishments and role in expanding the genre."

"To be given the first of any special award is a great honor because you know they've really thought about it," Chesney says. "Given what they’re saying the Groundbreaker Award means, I’m honored that’s how the ACC Awards sees me."

Actor Vince Vaughn, the latest celebrity to join a long list of presenters for the evening, will present Chesney with the honor.

The 2014 ACC Awards air live from Nashville’s Music City Center on Dec. 15 at 8 PM ET on Fox.
