Kelsea Ballerini has released a music video for her newest single, "Yeah Boy." The clip is bright, fun and flirty, with a bit of a retro vibe.

Readers can press play above to watch the "Yeah Boy" video. Throughout the clip, Ballerini and a couple of backup dancers pull out their best choreographed dance moves -- a decision that Ballerini says came from her love of pop artists from the late 1990s and early 2000s.

"I definitely love pushing boundaries, and I've always loved strong female artists in every genre, and Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Jessica Simpson are some of my favorites,” Ballerini tells Teen Vogue. “I probably picked up some of their performance tendencies that I put in my live show and in this video.”

Ballerini also admits that the aesthetic of her The First Time Tour influenced the "Yeah Boy" music video.

“We wanted the video to be a lot like the tour and mimic all the bright lights and colors and outfits,” the singer explains. “I wanted to incorporate some dancers into this video because I've always loved dance; I feel like this song is perfect for that because it's very bouncy and fun.”

The "Yeah Boy" music video was directed by Kristin Barlowe, who also directed Ballerini's "Peter Pan" clip. The song itself was co-written by Ballerini, Forest Glen Whitehead and Keesy Timmer.

Ballerini's The First Time Tour recently wrapped up, but she's got plenty to look forward to in 2017: In addition to working on a new album, the rising star is nominated for the all-genre Best New Artist award at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
