Weddings are always a big deal, but when one of country's biggest rising stars and an up-and-coming international artist tie the knot, it's especially exciting -- and Nashville darling Kelsea Ballerini and her Australian singer-songwriter fiance Morgan Evans are officially husband and wife! The couple tied the knot on Saturday (Dec. 2), just shy of one year after their engagement.

According to People, Ballerini and Evans headed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for their wedding. Previously, Ballerini told Us Weekly, “We’re getting married somewhere where people have to travel, so that is the gift, is people getting there."

Ballerini has had a busy end to 2017: In addition to her wedding, she was nominated at and performed during the 2017 CMA Awards. She also released her sophomore album, Unapologetically, on Nov. 3.

"We have a wedding planner, praise God, because I’m not a wedding person. I’m also a procrastinator, and I’m also not a detail person, so that makes me not good at weddings," Ballerini previously shared with The Boot. "Honestly, it makes me feel a little more bold and free through all of this album and CMA [Awards prep], because even though it’s amazing and I’m so excited, it’s not going to hold a candle to the wedding."

Ballerini and Evans got engaged on Christmas of 2016, after mere nine-month-long courtship. Both artists say, however, that they knew right away that theirs was a forever love.
