Kelsea Ballerini is among the nominees for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2018 CMA Awards, but she doesn't see herself going home with the trophy. In a new interview, the country star says she doesn't feel as though it's her time to win that award just yet.

"I feel like hopefully there will be a year where I feel like maybe it might be this year, but it's not this year. It's not time for me yet," Ballerini tells ABC News Radio. "Every year, things seem to grow in a positive direction, so we'll see."

Ballerini's 2018 CMA Female Vocalist of the Year nod is her fourth time being nominated in the category; she's been nominated every year since 2015. If she were to win this year, it would be her first CMA victory.

Ballerini is competing for CMA Female Vocalist of the Year with Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris. She predicts that Underwood will be the one winning the category in 2018.

"She put out a beautiful album, she's working her tail off, she's about to have a baby, and she's still working her tail off!" Ballerini says. "And if you're actually going on vocalists, she's just the queen. I think it's her year!"

The 2018 CMA Awards are scheduled to air on ABC on Nov. 14, at 8PM ET. The ceremony will take place live at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and Brad Paisley and Underwood will co-host for the 11th consecutive year. Ballerini will be performing during the show.
