Kelly Clarkson will soon officially join Reba McEntire's family, when she weds the country icon's stepson, Brandon Blackstock. The future mother-in-law couldn't be happier with the new addition to the family.

"We have been buddies for over ten years," Reba tells CountryMusicIsLove.com. "[We've] toured together, been on vacation together ... and that was long before she and Brandon got together. So this is just a natural progression for me. She is one of my best friends."

And one of her favorite golf partners. "The best time for Kelly and I to talk about stuff is when we are playing golf," Reba continues. "Brandon and Narvel [Blackstock] will be in one golf cart and Kelly and I will be in the other, and we talk a lot."

The bride-to-be said earlier she planned to elope, but is now rumored to be planning a big bash for her nuptials. "I completely fell in love," Kelly gushes of her groom. "Your priorities shift and you become happier ... It's probably my best accomplishment because I just didn't think it would happen. It's like one of those cheesy love songs that didn't exist, but it does!"

No word yet on when the happy couple will say "I do."

While Reba claims the bride as a best bud -- and promises to sing at the wedding -- there's another country superstar who is claiming responsibility for the engagement. Check out that story in the video player below.
