Kelly Clarkson Reveals Second Baby’s Gender

Kelly Clarkson has exciting news to share: She, husband Brandon Blackstock and daughter River Rose will be welcoming a baby boy into their family!

Clarkson shared the good news on Instagram, writing, "In other news, River's gonna have a little baby brother :)" along with a cute photo of her daughter on a slide.

The 33-year-old former American Idol winner shocked the audience at a mid-August concert at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, revealing that she was pregnant after getting emotional while singing “Piece By Piece."

“I was totally not planning on announcing this, but … I’m totally pregnant,” Clarkson said from stage. ”I’m having a really hard time ... I just don’t want you to think I’m on pills or drunk.”

At the time, Clarkson and Blackstock hadn't even revealed her pregnancy to their extended family.

“I’d like to apologize to my husband. That was not planned. I just didn’t want you to think I was crazy or something,” Clarkson added during the concert. “Honestly, I’m just so hormonal today … I haven’t vomited yet. That is a freakin’ win, y’all.”

Clarkson and Blackstock, who is Reba McEntire’s stepson, met at the 2012 Super Bowl, got engaged later that year and got married in October of 2013. River Rose was born in June of 2014.
