It's been three years since Kelly Clarkson released a studio album, but it looks like the wait for new music might finally be over. The songstress tweeted a couple of hints that indicate a brand-new record will be ready by next year.

Apparently, that tweet made her Twitter followers nervous, so Clarkson quickly posted an update.

She also replied to fan's message, asking if there would be any surprise collaborations on the upcoming project by saying, "Yes.I'm so proud of my next album! Might have a special guest on the album ....maybe :) Doesn't come out until early next year."

The songstress certainly hasn't had much time to think about new music. Clarkson, who wed Brandon Blackstock last year, welcomed baby girl River Rose in June.

Clarkson's last studio album, 'Stronger,' spawned two multi-platinum hits; 'Mr. Know It All' and the album's title track, which soared to the top of the charts. She also released her Christmas album, 'Wrapped in Red,' last year.

Clarkson currently appears on Trisha Yearwood's latest single, 'PrizeFighter.' She has also performed the song with Yearwood on select dates on Garth Brooks' current tour.
