Kelly Clarkson to Appear on ABC’s ‘Nashville’

Kelly Clarkson is set to appear on an upcoming episode of ABC's 'Nashville.' According to Radio.com, the singer will be playing herself in the show and performing's Mazzy Star's 'Fade Into You.'

Clarkson will perform the song alongside 'Nashville' cast members Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen. Palladio and Bowen originally performed the number as a duet in the show's third episode.

The 'American Idol' champ and pop singer joins a growing list of country's elite who have appeared on the show, including Brad Paisley, Chris Young, Vince Gill, Pam Tillis and Kip Moore.

Clarkson performed 'Fade Into You' at a live show in Charlotte, N.C., last year at the request of an audience member.

“This song happens to be a song . . . I know you all have these, your repeat songs that you just listen to hypnotically on repeat over and over," she says at the performance, which is available on YouTube. "This is that song for me and I was very excited when I saw it on the fan request list.”
