Kellie Pickler is only a few days away from celebrating her first anniversary with her husband, songwriter Kyle Jacobs, and the 25-year-old says she is looking forward to many more years of wedded bliss.

"I can't believe it's been almost a year since Kyle and I got married," Kellie tells CMIL. "I've been so blessed. He's the prize, so I'm glad he's stuck it out as long as he has so far, and I hope that he can stick it out forever."

The lovebirds, who eloped to a Caribbean island on January 1, hope to return to "somewhere warm" to celebrate the milestone. They also plan on starting a colorful tradition that they can repeat every year.

"Something special that we know we're gonna get every anniversary is fireworks," reveals the North Carolina native. "So, we are looking forward to that."

Kellie, who was raised by her grandparents, is getting ready to release her latest CD, '100 Proof' on January 24. Included on the album is one of the singer-songwriter's most poignant and revealing songs of her career, 'Mother's Day,' which she wrote with her husband.

"He came over and brought his guitar, and we went through all the feelings, all the emotions, all the thoughts that I have and go through on Mother's Day, and why it's so difficult for me," she explains to The Boot. "It's one of those things where it's like a slap in your face. We put as much as we could into three minutes of that. That was really therapeutic, and really amazing to get to write with him, especially when you hear the song, and you get to the second verse -- that was so special to write with him."
