Kellie Pickler is set to star in a new reality TV show, tentatively titled I Love Kellie Pickler, which will debut this fall. The show, which will focus more on Pickler's personal life with her husband Kyle Jacobs than her life as a singer, is being produced by Ryan Seacrest. But while Pickler has already spent plenty of time on the small screen, first on Season 5 of American Idol, then taking home the mirror ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars in 2013, she says that people may be surprised to see who she really is behind the scenes.

"I think that we are … we’re whatever normal is," Pickler tells The Boot. "We’re pretty normal as far as, we’re able to be a part of some pretty cool things, but we’re just so -- easy. We’re simple people.

"When everything is said and done, we’ve got some great friends around us and people we love like family," she adds. "Everyone has their own little story, their own little thing to bring to the table."

The 28-year-old confesses that she has her own reality TV show addictions, but she leans more to do-it-yourself shows than anything else.

“You know what show I like, is Rehab Addict," Pickler reveals. "That’s one of my favorites. I love home makeovers. I love any type of show like that where they do makeovers on homes. I love stuff like that.

"I feel like she’s super cool. I feel like we could have a beer together and tear a wall down," Pickler says of the show's host, Nicole Curtis. "I have literally watched her show and got online looking for old homes in, like, Franklin, Tenn., thinking, ‘I want to find an old house and have her help me fix it up.

"And, I love that treehouse show, [Treehouse Masters]," Pickler continues. "That guy is so funny. He just seems like a good time ... I mean, it kind of makes you feel like a kid. Every kid wants a treehouse. A part of you never grows up; we all want a treehouse.”

While Pickler won't be offering any home renovation tips on her own reality show, she does hope to offer her fans something to make their day better.

"We want to have fun, we want to make people laugh," Pickler notes. "They’re 30-minute, short episodes, where it’s not too much but not too little -- just enough to break up the monotony of your day and make you laugh a little bit.”

I Love Kellie Pickler will premiere on CMT on Sept. 18.
