Kellie Pickler to Make Guest Appearance on ‘90210’

Kellie Pickler became a TV fixture during her tenure on 'American Idol' in 2006, but now the North Carolina native is trying her hand at performing for an entirely different kind of TV show. The blond beauty will make a guest appearance on the hit CW show, '90210,' starring as Sally, the cousin of a new character, country singer Justin Deeley, TVLine.com confirms.

In addition to making her acting debut, Kellie will also be able to show off her powerful vocal chops. She'll perform her new single, 'Tough,' during the episode. (Listen to the song below.) "Well my zip code growing up was a long way from 90210 so it will definitely be acting," jokes the songbird about her upcoming role. "I'm really excited and a little bit nervous about it but will be a fun and unique place to perform 'Tough.'"

Kellie will have to balance her Hollywood ambitions with putting the finishing touches on her upcoming CD, which she hopes to release in the coming months. "Once we get all the songs put together, and I get them in a particular order that we want them in, I can listen from front to finish and find that one word that kind of ties it all into a whole," she explains to The Boot. "Then we'll have a title."

'Tough' is currently in the Top 40 and climbing. The 25-year-old will play several shows in the next few weeks, including stops in New York, Virginia and Connecticut. Keep track of her concert schedule here.
