Keith Urban is lending his voice to support Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month with a PSA he recorded for the Nikki Mitchell Foundation.

"November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. What that means to us in Nashville is supporting the Nikki Mitchell Foundation," he shares. "Nikki Mitchell was Waylon Jennings' longtime friend and manager. Before her death, Nikki challenged her friends in the music community to shine a light on the need for research.

"There is no early detection. No one talks about pancreatic cancer because currently, it's a death sentence," Urban adds. "So, please, join the music community, and help us find a cure."

Urban isn't the only star who has worked to raise support for the cause. Jamey Johnson, Shooter Jennings, Jerrod Niemann, Jessi Colter and others have also used their voices and talents to aid the foundation.

Pancreatic cancer, which also claimed the lives of Ray Price and Hank Cochran, currently receives only 2 percent of the National Cancer Institute's budget, although it is predicted to be the second-deadliest cancer by 2020.
