After years of wearing his hair rock-star long, Keith Urban recently turned up with a new, shorter haircut.

The country superstar and 'American Idol' judge has occasionally had his hair clipped previously, but for the most part he's had it long for at least the last decade, somewhat bucking a trend that that's seen male country stars ditch long hair and mullets for sleeker, shorter 'dos.

He revealed his new look via social media and has since been photographed in public sporting the new look, which is a pretty dramatic change of pace for him.
