Keith Urban's latest single, 'Raise 'Em Up,' is quickly climbing up the charts. The song, from his No. 1 'Fuse' album, includes fellow hitmaker Eric Church, which is what Urban says makes the song so remarkable.

"It’s such a cinematic song as well, and I’ve always considered Eric to be a very cinematic artist,” Urban says (quote via KTIC Radio), "and I sent him the song, and he was in the studio immediately. I’m so glad he wanted to be a part of it because it took the song to a new place."

The tune, written by Tom Douglas, the Cadillac Three's Jaren Johnston and Jeffrey Steele, was given to Urban by his publisher, who hinted that it could easily be a Song of the Year contender.

“The lyric is just absolutely extraordinary of all the things that 'Raise ‘Em Up' can apply to," Urban adds. "I felt this song was such a journey, and [there's] a deeply American aspect to the song too, particularly in the second verse.”

It remains to be seen whether Urban's publisher was right about Song of the Year nods, but 'Raise 'Em Up' has been nominated for a Grammy Award, for Best Country Duo / Group Performance. It can also be found on the 2015 Grammy Nominees album.
