Keith Urban had to immediately hop on a plane after Tuesday night's (April 16) star-studded We're All for the Hall concert wrapped, in order to make it to "American Idol"'s live Wednesday night show. The country superstar, who has helped whittle the contestants down to the remaining five finalists (Angie Miller, Kree Harrison, Candice Glover, Janelle Arthur and Amber Holcomb), says he is stumped on who will become the Season 12 champion.

"We put together our Top 3 last week, and I didn't have Candice in my Top 3," Keith tells The Boot. "She was very close in there, but based on the performances I had seen at that time, I just didn't have her in there. Then last week, she did the most astounding two performances, and for me, it was like, 'OK, she's in my Top 3.' I asked everybody in the audience after the performance, 'Who would win tonight?' and they all said Candice would win. So, that changed from Kree the week before, to Candice."

The seasoned entertainer, who played in his own share of talent shows at the beginning of his career, acknowledges that a lot can happen between now and the "Idol" season finale, which takes place May 15 and 16.

"It's so much about how you play in the day," the singer-songwriter explains. "The team who loses the Super Bowl could have won it if the game was played the day before. They're that good."

"American Idol" airs Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8:00 PM ET on FOX.

Keith kicks off his Light the Fuse tour on July 18 in Cincinnati, with Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch also along for the ride. Keep track of his tour schedule here.
