The recent death of Whitney Houston has affected fans of all genres of music. Country singer Katie Armiger fell into that category, tweeting Saturday (Feb. 11), “So so sad to hear about Whitney Houston. She will always be one of my favorite singers.”

The Texas native then decided to pay tribute to the superstar Monday night (Feb. 13) during a St. Jude Benefit show for radio station KMLE in Phoenix, Ariz. (Watch footage of her performance below.) She was greeted with praise from the audience when her performance of her current single, ‘Scream,’ led into the late vocalists’ most popular song, the Dolly Parton-penned ‘I Will Always Love You.’
