Kacey Musgraves, ‘Merry Go ‘Round’ Video

UMG Nashville

Artist: Kacey Musgraves

Video: “Merry Go ‘Round”

Why We Love It: It’s an anthem for every single 20-something (30-something, 40-something …) who is tired of living on the “Merry Go ‘Round” of what life “should” entail. The tune, which the clever singer-songwriter co-wrote with Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally, is laced with witty rhymes and word plays, and paired with common, nostalgic images of the cookie cutter life. The co-writer of “Mama’s Broken Heart,” which Miranda Lambert cut for her Four the Record album, Kacey is getting ready to release her own debut album next year.
