Thieves broke into Kacey Musgraves' car on Monday night (Jan. 4) -- and she is not pleased.

According to the singer-songwriter, the incident happened around 9:30PM, while her car was parked across from the venue 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville. Musgraves used her Twitter account to call out the "a--bag" who broke her window and stole new boots from Lucchese (with which Musgraves recently released her own line of boots) and Charlotte Olympia.

"Someone had expensive tastes and cheap standards," she writes.

Early Tuesday morning (Jan. 5), Musgraves was "still calculating what else they took" -- and even though she was upset, she was still able to crack a joke about the situation.

"... Next up: a song about stolen boots," Musgraves said. "Not sure if there's anything more country."

Musgraves spent the fall out on tour: Her Country & Western Rhinestone Revue began in late August and wrapped up its first run of dates in late November. Around and on New Year's Eve, she performed with Willie Nelson, and after a few more days off, her trek will begin again on Jan. 21.

Musgraves’ sophomore album, Pageant Material, dropped in June. The project earned a nod for Album of the Year at the 2015 CMA Awards; Musgraves was also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
