On Veterans Day 2018, Justin Moore was at work filming the music video for his latest single, "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home." Readers can press play above to watch the clip, which was conceptualized and directed by Cody Villalobos, Moore's social media manager and a former EMT.

Moore's "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home" music video shows the intertwined lives of the loved ones of a deployed soldier, emergency personnel and a teacher. Villalobos paid special attention to the details, too: Real firefighters and former police officers are the actors in the clip; veterans were on set to ensure that gear was being worn properly; and the classroom featured is a replica of Villalobos' mother's school in Nevada.

“I felt that only showing military visuals didn’t give tribute to everyone who might connect to this song, and not to all who inspired Justin to write the song in the first place," Villalobos tells People. "I had to pay tribute and honor the ones that didn’t make it back home from school, as well as home from the line of duty and overseas.”

Moore co-wrote "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home" with Jeremy Stover, Paul Digiovanni and Chase McGill. He ends the new music video with a dedication: "Here's to the families that live in the reality of this video, and to the ones that didn't make it back home."

"The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home" is the first single from Moore's forthcoming new album, Late Nights and Longnecks. The project is due out on April 26.
