Country up-and-comer Justin Fabus is premiering his new song “I Hope She’ll Think of Me” exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play below to hear the song.

“I Hope She’ll Think of Me” is the first new music that Fabus has released since his 2015 self-titled debut album, though he doesn’t have plans to release another full album just yet. For Fabus, this new song is 100-percent autobiographical, but its lyrics carry a universal message.

"Everyone, whether they like to admit it or not, has had that certain person from a previous relationship that has hurt them or screwed them over and is still stuck in the back of their head," Fabus tells The Boot. "Once the smoke clears and you realize you're better off, there's still that part of you that hopes that person is regretting their actions and is still thinking of you."

The Pennsylvania-born Fabus hails from a blue-collar town outside of Pittsburgh, and weaves his Rust Belt upbringing into his music: “I will never write a song that I haven’t lived,” Fabus says ... and that approach seems to be paying off. Throughout his career thus far -- he released his debut EP in late 2013 -- Fabus has shared the stage with well-known country acts such as Gary Allan, Randy Houser and Craig Campbell.

"I Hope She'll Think of Me" will be available for purchase on Friday (May 5). This summer, Fabus will be out on the road for his All or Nothing Tour, after making appearances at the 2017 CMA Music Festival, including Fan Fair X, in Nashville in June. Further details are available on JustinFabus.com, as well as on Fabus' Facebook and Twitter accounts.
