JT Hodges Releases New Song

JT Hodges has released a new song, 'Lay It Down.'

"I'm all about making music that makes you wanna move, get your head noddin' and put you in a mood,” Hodges says in a press release. “This new record is loaded with that sentiment, and this song kicks it all off. So y'all crank it up nice and loud!"

The Texas native will be performing the single on the road this spring. Tour dates are available on the singer's website. Hodges is working on new music, but an upcoming album has not been announced.

"I try to incorporate my love of the Simon and Garfunkel folk vibe to the Buddy Holly oldies thing, to the blues aspect of what Elvis was doing, but then also the lyrics and beautiful melodies of what George Strait was doing in the ’90s," Hodges told The Boot about creating his self-titled debut album.

"The key is it takes time to really get to a place where it’s real. The more music I exposed myself to, and the more bands I checked out, it really helped me along my journey."
