Josh Turner Tour Kicks Off in April

Bill McCay/

Josh Turner has been off the road for the past several months, spending time at home with his family. Now, the deep-voiced singer is getting ready for a series of shows beginning next month — and chances are the married father of three will have plenty of good food while he travel, since his upcoming trek is sponsored by national restaurant chain, Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores.

“We sponsored Josh’s tour and released the CD ‘Josh Turner Live at the Ryman’ in 2007, and we’re very pleased to be traveling down the road with him a second time,” a spokesperson for Cracker Barrel explains. “He’s an indelible part of country music and we are proud to continue our association with such a talented, grounded, and genuine artist. We’re looking forward to working on another new project with Josh later this year, but we’re not quite ready to share the details on that just yet.”

The ‘Time Is Love’ singer has been spending time away from the spotlight and at his home in South Carolina, mostly because of his little boys. “When they get outside, they’re just completely different people,” he told ABC News Radio. “They just love being outside, so it’s great there with them. I get to spend a lot of time with them.”

Josh’s latest album, ‘Punching Bag,’ is scheduled for a summer release. His tour will kick off on April 12 in Knoxville, Tenn. See the first round of dates below.
